The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an anti-corruption organization in Pakistan. Established in 1999, it is responsible for investigating and prosecuting cases of corruption, embezzlement, money laundering, and other financial crimes. The NAB operates independently and is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Pakistan.
The primary objective of the NAB is to eradicate corruption from Pakistan and promote transparency and accountability in the public and private sectors. It aims to ensure effective and efficient enforcement of laws relating to corruption and to conduct inquiries, investigations, and trials of cases referred to it by the government, courts, or other authorities.
