Pak Rangers
Introduction:
Pakistan Rangers are a paramilitary type of force, this is a civil armed force. Pakistan Rangers plays a role in Internal Security, Counter-Terrorism and Border Control. The active personnel in Pak Rangers are 100,000 ( 1 LAC ). Now we will discuss the officer ranks:
- Sub Inspector ( Equivalent to 2nd lieutenant).
- Inspector ( Equivalent to lieutenant).
- DSR ( Deputy Superintendent of Rangers ) - Equivalent to Captain.
- SR ( Superintendent of Rangers ) - Equivalent to Major.
- SSR ( Senior Superintendent of Rangers) - Equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel.
Pak Rangers Punjab
Pakistan Rangers are responsible for guarding Pakistan and border neighboring with India, Punjab Rangers patrol 810 Miles along LOC (Pak-India) border.
The duty of Punjab Rangers is border security for Pakistani Province Punjab, Punjab Rangers is also employed on internal security duties. The Punjab force of the Pakistan Rangers is made up of approximately 16,100 personnel.
Pak Rangers Sindh
Pak Rangers entrusted with the mission to keep the border of Pakistan secure from external attacks and threats. Govt of Sindh requisitions Pak Rangers Sindh for internal security duties on the requirement. Sindh Rangers patrol 567 Miles along LOC ( Pak-India) border.
Their primary purpose is to secure and defend sites of significance in the country. The Sindh force of the Pakistan Rangers is made up of approximately 24,945 personnel.
