SSG

 Special Service Group




Introduction:

The Special Service Group (SSG) is the Special Forces Unit of the Pakistan Army. They're also known by their nickname of "Black Storks" or "Maroon Berets". SSG is a Special Commando Force.

Information:

SSG performs very serious operations. The role of SSG Commandos is to perform Special Operations, Counter-Terrorism, Unconventional Warfare, Foreign internal Defence, Special Reconnaissance & Direct Action. SSG is part of Army Strategic Forces.

Battalions:

The Special Service Group organized in three battalions :
  • 1st Commando Battalion (Yaldram)
  • 2nd Commando Battalion (Rahber)
  • 3rd Commando Battalion (Powindahs)
  • 4th Commando Battalion (Yalghar)
  • 5th Commando Battalion (Zilzaal)
  • 6th Commando Battalion (Al-Samsaam)
  • 7th Commando Battalion (Babrum)
  • 8th Commando Battalion (Al-Azb)
These are eight battalions of the Special Service Group. Now I will tell you about companies of SSG :
  • Zarrar Company
  • SOCU Company
  • Iqbal Buland Company
  • Musa Company
  • Rangers Anti-Terrorist Force (RATF)


SSG Commandos of the Pakistan Army is famous as brave and powerful commandos and one of the best commandos all over the world. SSG Commandos are required for tough operations in a difficult situation. The training of SSG Commandos is the hardest and difficult training and also considered the most dangerous training all over the world. The period of training is 6 months. 

If your service is more than 6 years in Pakistan Military then you can Join Pakistan SSG. but I will mention here that everyone can not join SSG because of its hard and dangerous training. To be SSG Commando you must have to pass the training.
